Q: How are the extensions applied ?
- A: All great length extensions come pre-bonded with a protein polymer. Individual strands are attached to your hair using a heat frequency machine. No gluing waxing or plaiting is used.
Q: Is the hair you use human hair ?
- A: Yes, the hair we use is 100% human hair.
Q: What is the hair made of ?
- A: Great Lengths only acquire natural untreated real hair the cuticle remains intact which is why it always look radiant and healthy and is matt and tangle free. The hair is the same thickness from root to tip-(double drawn) and is 100% remis.- (All the strands face in the same direction)
Q: Where does the hair come from ?
- A: Great Lengths ethically source the finest human hair from asia where it is a tradition fo girls to cut their hair on their wedding day or during other rituals and offer it as a gift to the gods.
Q: How long will they last ?
- A: 4 months on average, if you follow the simple maintenance procedures given to you by your extensionist. Regular maintenance checks are recommended your first one is free of charge.
Q: Will they damage my hair ?
- A: Our extensions are not damaging in anyway to your hair or scalp, although if you do not remove your extensions when advised by your extensionist extra stress can occur to your own hair.
Q: Can I straigten my extenions ?
- A: Yes your extensions can be blow-dried straightened tonged and set just like your own hair.
Q: How much will it cost ?
- A: We only quote prices after your free 45 minute consultation. Many factors determine final price such as length, quantity, bond size, texture and the desired finished result.
Q: Is your process of attaching hair extensions painful ?
- A: No not at all.
Q: Can I use my normal shampoo and conditioner ?
- A: It is recommended you use great lengths shampoo, conditioner and anti-tapwater final rinse as they are compatible with the bonding process and will prolong the life span of the bonds.
Q: Will the colour match my own hair colour ?
- A: Yes, your extensionist will perfectly match colours to your own hair blending two together if necessary from a choice of over 40 colours in the range.
Q: If I am wearing a perm, will the extension hair match my texture ?
- A: Yes, along with a wide variety of colours, our hair also comes in many textures including permed and relaxed.
